In 1958 Henri & Jeanne Baudry started a small venture acquiring a used International TD-18 Crawler and an 8 yd. Adams Scraper to work on small projects for the local municipalities and farmers. The push for proper land drainage was on and work was abundant.
The development of the Glenlea Research Station, the Infrastructure and Roadwork’s led to the acquisition of two Euclid S-7 Self Propelled Scrapers and a Case 1000 Dozer. This project for Henri broadened the outlook for the future and he began to acquire more equipment to expand and meet the industry’s needs.
Numerous jobs, projects and experiences saw a new company, H.Baudry Construction (1980) Ltd. evolve.
Four sons, Richard, Denis, Gilbert and Alain joined the family business with Henri & Jeanne. These younger members of the company had big plans and wanting a new look began by creating the HB Group logo.
2000-Company Structure Change
Four decades later the company continued to gain momentum. Along with miles of highways, municipal and flood protection projects, the company workforce grew to 30 plus employees.
Now, with over half-a-century of experience, our tools of the trade continue to change. The introduction of 6×6 Articulated trucks and larger excavators make up a new part of the equipment fleet. Projects like Red River Floodway, and East Side Road are presenting new opportunities and ventures and we are geared for these new directions.
